Henry - Stuursma

Henry was born in Peoria, Iowa on April 25, 1921, and passed away in Mentone, California on October 11, 2017. He served in the United States Army from 1943 – 1946. Henry lived in Mentone for 84 years where he and his wife of 69 years, Betty, raised 6 children: Patricia, Chuck, Jim, Margie, Shirley, and David. Henry owned and operated a chicken ranch on the corner of Agate and Capri until he retired in 1988. He was an active member of The River Christian Reformed Church in Redlands and he loved his Lord, his family, and his friends. Henry was preceded in death by his wife Betty, his son Chuck, and his grandson Dan. He is survived by 5 children, 17 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren. Henry lived a long and fruitful life and will be missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to The River CRC, MCCA, or Redlands Christian School. Services will be held on Saturday October 21st at The River CRC in Redlands at 11 am, and burial will be at Riverside National Cemetery on Monday October 23rd at 11 am.
