Hershel Adams

Hershel Adams 1920 - 2015 Hershel Adams of Calimesa, California, passed away on June 13, 2015 at the age of 95 years. Hershel was born in Jeremiah, KY to Shade and Vina Adams on March 22, 1920. After serving in the U.S. Army during WWII, he had a 40 year career in the lumber industry as a lumber inspector and grader in San Pedro, CA. Hershel was an avid gardener and freshwater fisherman, and joyfully enjoyed both up until his death. A follower of Christ, Hershel faithfully served in his local church, Bryant Street Baptist, as a deacon, usher and greeter for many years. Hershel is survived by his wife of 71 years, Virginia Adams; his four daughters - Linda King (Jerry) of Beaumont, CA, Cindi Smith of Beaumont, CA, Nancy Maxey (Allen) of Pontotoc, MS, Paula Horton (John) of Midlothian, TX; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Hershel is remembered with great love and affection by extended family and many friends. The family appreciates your attendance today as you join us in honoring the life of this quiet, gentle man. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 20th, 2015 at 10:00am at Bryant Street Baptist Church, 13456 Bryant Street, Yucaipa, CA.
