Ima Jeanette Mallard-Cochrane

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Ima Jeanette Mallard-Cochrane. Ima passed away on August 7, 2020. Ima was born in Devol Oklahoma on March 11, 1936 to Henry Clay Sykes and Luella E Easterwood. She was one of eleven children. Ima is survived by two children, Dennis Mallard and Renee Bascom, and two sisters, Thelma E Cook and Vida Sykes. She has five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, as well as dozens of nieces and nephews. Ima was a married to Billy J Mallard and after his death to Jack Cochrane. Ima and her family moved from Oklahoma to Bellflower CA as a child. She lived in California for the duration of her life. She and Bill eloped and were married in Arizona in 1955. Ima worked in many occupations including bookkeeping for Seaside printing and A&M enterprises. Ima was always a hard worker, diligent and conscientious as she continued working for A&M enterprises to the end of her life. Ima maintained close relationships with her family and friends throughout her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
