Jack Elgin Age 89 passed away peacefully October 03, 2014 of natural causes. He was born in Denver, Colorado on January 12, 1925 to Chester and Grazia Elgin. Jack joined the U.S. Army after graduating high school. He trained and served as an X-ray technician in Pattons 3rd army during WW2. Jack was always proud of serving his country. Soon after leaving the army he married Violet Shade and took a job with Bank of America, then transferring to the Bank of America branch in Redlands, California. He later went to work for Redlands Federal S&L where he remained as Vice President until his retirement. Jack loved to travel and spend time with his family. He is survived by his Daughter, Terry Lee Elgin McDonald and her Husband Terry M. McDonald, His son Greg Elgin and Sue both of Yucaipa, California, 3 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandsons. He is also survived by 1 sister, Wanda Mae Hunt of Columbus, Ohio and many Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Violet, 1 sister and 1 brother. Jack will truly be missed by his friends and family. At his request he will have a direct burial with no viewing or services. A celebration of life is tentatively planned for the near future.
