Jane M. Eason

Jane M. Eason, 72, of Redlands California went to her heavenly home on May 30th, 2010. She passed away at Redlands Community Hospital from complications due to a stroke. Her loving husband and son Charles were by her side when she passed. Jane was born in Round Lake, Mn. She grew up in a small farming community. Later, she attended University of Minnesota and graduated in 1960 with a degree in dietetics. Her college internship was completed at Duke University where she met her husband, Dave Eason, who was in special forces at Fort Bragg N.C. Dave and Jane were married on Aug. 17th, 1963 the day after Dave was discharged from the army. This summer would have been their 47th anniversary. As a wife, she loved her husband very much and often told her friends that she didn t know what she would do without him. She spent many years raising her family and being active in teaching Sunday School at her church. A significant part of her life was also spent working at Christ the King Preschool since 1985. Many times she would encounter older children that recognized her from their preschool years and would greet her with Hi, Miss Jane. She was always thrilled that the children had remembered her even though she couldn t recall all of their names. She loved her co-workers who became some of her closest friends. As a mother, she was dedicated, loving and very attentive. She spent many hours attending her children s activities and making a happy home for them. She watched her son, Mike excel in sports playing basketball, Club soccer, youth baseball, high school baseball, and baseball at UCR. After her children were grown, she continued to be dedicated to attending the Redlands soccer and baseball games of her grandchildren Daniel and Kaitlin. As a grandmother, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She loved to play games, play in the yard, bake cookies, shop, and generally spoil them. Daniel, Kaitlin, and Grace you were much loved. Jane enjoyed planting lots of flowers, crossword puzzles, reading, making silk flower arrangements, bible studies, and going to lunch with her friends. She loved her friends and we thank them for being so supportive during her illness. Jane is survived by her husband, Dave; children, Charles of Fairfield, CA.; Frances of Redlands, CA.; Mike of Riverside, CA; sister, Ann Smith of Olympia, WA; grandchildren, Daniel Cazas , Kaitlin Cazas both from Redlands, and Grace Eason from Fairfield, CA. "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal" A wake will be held at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel from 5 - 7 p.m. on May12th; a memorial service at Pathway Church on May 13th at 10 a.m.; burial at Riverside National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Youth Fund for Youth Camps at Pathway Church is appreciated. 611 East Cypress Ave. Redlands, CA 92373.
