Jane Shaughnessy Jenny Woods

On April 1, 2014 Jane (Jenny) Woods passed away very peacefully. She was born on March 25, 1927 in Dundee, Scotland to John & Lizzie Trueland. She was a long time resident of Torrace, CA and most recently with her daughter in Yucaipa.
Jenny came to America in 1955 with her loving husband, Bob, after living in Australia for two years and returning to Scotland for a brief time. She traveled by ship and enjoyed seeing far away places like Malta and the Suez Canal. They also lived in New York and Canada before arriving in California in 1958. Her final trip was to Hawaii with her daughter and grandchildren. She used to say, "It completed her travels".
Jenny and Bob settled in Torrance in 1971. She used to say, I'll never live far away from the ocean" and she certainly loved that ocean breeze. Jenny loved to sew, and do "stain glass". Before his death in 2008, Bob and Jenny loved to travel to Northern California, especially the Redwoods and Victoria, Canada.
She loved to spend time with her daughter and grandchildren. Jenny loved the Lord and led the "Living Water" bible study every week.

Jenny was loved by all and will be missed by so many. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law in Yucaipa, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26th, 2014 at 2:00pm at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 35208 Yucaipa Blvd., Yucaipa, CA.
