Janette Anne Stackpole was born on November 6, 1929 to Virgil and Lillian Dennis in West Los Angeles, California and passed away April 26, 2011 in Calimesa, California after a protracted illness. She was followed in death by her sister Beverly Jean Dryman on November 30, 2011. Known as Aunt Jan to her family, she is survived by her nephews Paul Champion and Andrew Dryman, nieces Denise Champion, Exelia Ann Dryman, and Julie Lancy. She was a beloved member of the family who also leaves behind many grand and great-grand nephews and nieces. Jan was a loving mother, sister and aunt who enjoyed dancing, traveling, playing scrabble, the Sunday Times crossword puzzle, Jeopardy, The Price is Right, arts and crafts, Mexican and Chinese food, old movies, Tom Jones and Julio Iglesias records and going to the casino. After being a homemaker for most of her life, Jan joined Fine Feathered Friends, the wholesale pet supply business owned by her sister, Beverly Dryman and brother-in-law Hank Dryman. She later accepted a position as a records specialist for the City of Glendora in Glendora, California where she worked for several years until she retired. In 2002, Jan moved to Beaumont, California to be close to Beverly and Hank, and they spent the next few years traveling and spending time together. After becoming ill, Jan moved to Calimesa, California where she lived the remainder of her days. Anyone who knew Aunt Jan also knew what an intelligent and fun loving free spirit she was. She was loved and will be missed by all of her family and friends.
