Jean Evelyn Bules

Jean Evelyn Chilcott Bules, 90 years old, passed away on January 7, 2018 in her home in Yucaipa, CA.
She was born in Warren, PA on August 28, 1927 to Walter and Marcellyn Chilcott. She had two older and two younger brothers.  On July 17, 1948 Jean married Michael John Bules in Erie, PA.
After the birth of their first four children they moved to Pomona, CA in 1955. It was in 1978 that they moved to Calimesa, CA and became active in the community.
Jean was a life-long volunteer in support of her children and community (including Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Pomona High School Band Boosters, Our Lady of the Assumption Church, and Calimesa Citizen Patrol).
She and her husband Mike loved their hobbies and various collectibles, but being an extraordinarily active woman she never turned down an opportunity to be with family or friends. She really looked forward to her bi-weekly breakfast group.  Jean was an avid Dodger fan and celebrated her 90th birthday with 38 family members decked out in Dodger blue and enjoying Dodger dogs, peanuts, and popcorn.  In her late 80’s as Commander of Calimesa’s Citizen Patrol, Jean was honored as “Volunteer of the Year”.  In the following year, the city of Calimesa honored her as “Citizen of the Year” and the Smiles for Seniors group honored her for her contributions to the community.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Michael; son, Mark; and her parents and brothers.
She will be greatly missed by her:
Three daughters: Diane Reed, Barbara Dynes, Susan Gott and their spouses: Dan Reed, George Dynes and Joseph Gott.
Two sons: Michael Bules and Charles Bules and their spouses: Patricia Bules and LaVonn Dennison-Bules.
Thirteen grand-children, nine great-grand-children, and three great-great-grand-children.
