Jean Lauridsen Roeske Koger was born July 17, 1929, in Madison Wisconsin, the youngest of two girls to Arthur and Laura Roeske. Spent one year living in Denmark celebrating her first birthday. Returned to Madison, where she lived until 1941, when the family moved to Hollywood, CA. Graduated from Hollywood High in 1947. She married the love of her life, General O. Koger in 1951, and together they had three sons. The family moved to Washington State for four years and returned to California, settling in Yucaipa/ Calimesa area in 1961. Joined Faith Lutheran Church in 1962, and remained an active participant for the remainder of her life, serving as Sunday School Superintendent and teacher, Choir school teacher, Elder, Financial Secretary, and Chairperson of the Stewardship/Finance Committee. Professional career included working for Bank of America, beautician, operator of Koger Maintenance, and the purchasing department of Redlands Unified School District, retired in 2000. Passed to our Lord's eternal care March 31, 2015. Celebration of Life service to be held at Faith Lutheran Church, Yucaipa, CA. on April 8, at 10:30am. Will be laid to rest at Desert Lawn. She loved her family and was proud of all their accomplishments. Proceeded in death by her husband in 1982. Survived by her three sons and their spouses who she always considered her daughters; Mark and Laura Koger, Curtis and Michele Koger and Larry and Sharan Koger. Thirteen grandchildren, Eric, Krissy, Lisa, Carl, Michelle, Lara, Kyle and Janae Koger. Kelly Tippit; J.J., Laurie, Phil and Daniella Fotia. Fourteen great- grandchildren: Russell, Courtney, Preston and Weston Koger, Kaelyn, Cooper and Campbell Reinmuth; Lauren Tippet; and Trey, Sawyer, Dylan, Finley, Ezra and Avery Fotia. Sister, Sylvia Roeske. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 7th, 2015, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 35208 Yucaipa Blvd., Yucaipa, CA. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 8th, 2015 at 10:30am at Faith Lutheran Church, 12449 California Street, Yucaipa, CA with burial to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Calimesa, CA at 2:00pm.
