Jerlean - Williams

August 15, 1952 — March 30, 2019

Jerlean Williams was born in Chicago, Illinois August 15, 1952. Her father Aj and Verlean Williams we're both from Mississippi. After a brief stay in chicago, Her Mother Verlean later returned to Mississippi while Jerlean was still a baby, but decided she wanted a better life than Shaw, Mississippi could offer. Jerlean's grandparents decided it would be best for both her and her sister Doris to stay with them while their mother went on to Los Angeles, California to strive for a prosperous life. Verlean's plan was to later come back for her daughters. But as time went on she would later have nine more kids.
Jerlean arrived in California at the age of 16. she decided like her mother Shaw, Mississippi would be behind her and a new life awaited. Her first job was a makeup company at Max Factor in East L.A. She later met Charles Moore, her first love who she would later have two boys by; Charles & Rickey Moore.  November 3, 1972 she had her first daughter Cheriece Blanks in Culver City, CA While living in Las Vegas Jerlean found herself marrying  Eddie Martin a man who lived in New York, city where he took her and her daughter Cheriece to stay. But not for long; As her second daughter Audrey Derrick was born December, 30.1987 in Pasadena, California.
Being a homemaker most of her life she was known as a woman to be reckoned with. Never letting a man or woman stand in her way and take advantage of her. She made a way for all her kids no matter the means to put food and a roof over their head. Pasadena California would be a place she spent the majority of her life. In 1995 she followed her oldest daughter Cheriece to Palmdale, Ca at the age 43 with her boyfriend Cleo Manuel. Jerlean spent the rest of her life in the Antelope Valley and moved to Lancaster where she spent the rest of her years as a grandmother. She was the Rock of the family, you had a problem she could solve it. She held the family together and she will be forever missed.
