Joe P. Reyes

Joe “Chepe” Reyes, born May 21st 1930, left this world on July 24th, 2021. He joins his beloved wife Rachel “Richie” Reyes in eternal rest. Joe loved life, his family and his community. He served his country in the US Army and fought in combat in the medical corps during the Korean War. His home and kitchen was always open to any and all that needed anything. His long life included his military time, hard work as a young man in the local citrus groves, working and retiring for the city of Redlands and then back to the groves that he loved he went, as an irrigator. His ties to the East Highlands Ranch, the “Mi Ranchito” community, and the St. John Bosco Church were strong with family, friends and relationships that lasted a lifetime.
His smiles and quick-witted humor were legendary and will be missed by all. His work ethic was an example for all to strive for and his dedication to family was that of legend. He was a man that always put others before himself, would lend a helping hand to anybody that needed it and would have a smile on his face while doing it.
As Joe “Chepe” Reyes enters into eternal rest, he leaves a large family and community behind who will cherish his memory with the same intensity that he displayed in life.
