John Ortiz, Jr.

John Ortiz, Jr., 48, of Redlands, CA passed away at 11:11 am, Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the Ortiz Family Cabin in Duck Creek Village, Utah. He was born May 17, 1967 to John and Mary Ortiz. He is survived by his father John V Ortiz, of Redlands; 3 sisters Linda Colbert (Jerry) of Redlands; Margie Tiger (Leonard) of Redlands; and Rachel Stark (Ed) of Mentone; 8 nieces Melinda Tuers (Jason), Sarah Greeley (Sean); Monique Wells (Todd); Jennifer Tiger; Mary Tiger; Melissa Gaastra; Kelly Tiger; Lily Tiger; and 3 nephews John Viveros (Damiana); John Jimenez; Leonard Tiger, Jr.; 4 great nieces and 9 great nephews. Junior's Mother Mary Ortiz and Sisters Eleanor Ortiz and Yolanda Ortiz preceded him in death. Junior was a lifelong resident of Redlands, CA. He graduated from Redlands High School in 1985, after graduation Junior attended San Bernardino Valley College and was a member of The Holy Name of Jesus Parish. He lived a full, happy life surrounded by family and friends. Junior loved to go on family camping and hunting trips. He loved to go fishing and be out on the boat with his Dad. He enjoyed all genres of music, and going to the movies with whomever would go with him. But most of all Junior was a sports fanatic who loved his San Francisco 49ers, Dodgers and Lakers. In life and in death Junior will forever be a 49ers fan. Viewing is from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with Rosary service at 7:00 pm at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, Redlands on Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Church service will follow the next day at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at The Holy Name of Jesus Parish, 115 W. Olive Street, Redlands. Burial will be held at Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery.
