April 2, 1946 — December 24, 2011

Johnny Petrucelli John passed away on December 24th at the age of 65 after a 42 year fight against Multiple Sclerosis. He was born April 2, 1946 in California. He is survived by his wife Sandie, 8 children, 19 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind two sisters, an uncle and a large extended family. He graduated from Big Bear High School in 1964, and still holds the record for fastest time on the 15 foot rope climb (4.3 sec.). Long time resident, he owned Fireside Lodge, Goldmine Snowmobile Rentals and EA Mechanical, a commercial heating & air conditioning company. Over the years his company worked on Big Bear Inn, Summit Plaza, Mountain Gallery, Senior Citizen Center and the first phase of Northwoods. John played baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates Tripe A Team after high school and in 1968 he was the youngest Journeyman ever turned out in California. John never complained or felt sorry for himself, he always had a twinkle in his eye and a contagious laugh to share. He loved his family more than words can express. He will be forever missed by all. Services will be Saturday, January 14th, 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in John s name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 4594, New York, NY 10163-4594.
