He also had adoped grandchildren, Donald, TJ, Nate, Aemon, and Eddie and many other boys that were brought home just to stay the night.
Jose was born on November 15, 1936 in Canutillo, Texas to Joe Molina and Jessie Garcia. He would move to Redlands at the early age of 2 years old and reside there the rest of his life. Jose proudly served in the United States Army which included tours to Colorado and Germany. Following his military career, he would become a car painter for Santa Fe Railroad for 11 years. This profession took him onto his ventures as an entrepreneur, owning his own auto shop, Molina's Miracle Mile Muffler and also restoring classis cars in his free time, until he retired at the age of 62.
He then began enjoying retirement by taking adventurous camping trips with the family to Arizona and traveling all over the United States to New York, Hawaii, Connecticut, Florida, Texas, and he even visited the White House. But his all time favorite trip was when he met the Vice President Biden aboard the Air Force 2.
Jose was also his grandkids' biggest fan; he supported Terrier football, softball and baseball and was proud of his eldest grandson, Rick, for serving our country in the United States Air Force. He also became a huge college fan of the Montana Grizzlies Softball at UCSD. He was a huge suporter of his grandon Marty's clothing line, Stayflyest, by wearing it every day, gaining him the title of Flyest Gramps around.
Jose, PePe, Joe, Grandpa Joe, Dad, Husband, and Friend, will be terribly missed each and every day, but he had lived a great life with those he loved dearly. We will cherish all the dances, smiles, hugs, and love he gave to each and every one of us.
Memorial Services for Jose will be Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel at 11:00am followed by a celebration of life at the American Legion 106 in Redlands, next to Shakey's pizza from 2-7pm.
