Joseph John Lane

Joseph J. Lane, 92, of Calimesa, California, passed peacefully in Loma Linda, California, on Tuesday, June 12. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wanda Lane and is survived by his two sons, Greg Lane and Jeff Lane, of Oregon, and daughter, April Lane, of California.
Joseph was a kind and gentle-hearted man with a genuine, and often quirky, sense of humor and an avid collector of rocks and petrified wood. A World War II Navy veteran, he retired from General Telephone Company in 1984, and spent his retirement years RV camping, collecting petrified wood and interesting rocks, and pursuing his hobby of oil painting.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 20 at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 11251 Desert Lawn Dr., Calimesa, CA 92320
