Juanita Johnson

August 29, 1929 — April 24, 2020

Juanita Johnson (AKA Juana Floriano) devoted, dedicated and loving daughter, wife and mother passed on to glory on April 24,2020. She died at home surrounded by her family
She is proceeding in death by her husband Dave Johnson, mother Enedina Resendez, all her brothers and three of her sisters. Her sister Claudine Jaronski has been left to carry on the Floriano/Resendez legacy.
Juanita was born in Colton CA and raised in Redlands. She graduated from Redlands High School and Skadron College of Business. In 1951 she joined the womens Army Corp (WAC). She completed her training in Fort Lee, Virginia. She met the love of her life while stationed in Ford Ord. They were married in February 1953. Dave continued his military career, while Juanita became a stay at home mother and wife. The family lived in Europe and through out the US. They settled in Mentone CA in 1969. In 1972 Juanita started working at Redlands Community hospital, first as a nurses aid then as an insurance clerk. She retired early to take care of her numerous grandchildren. Besides loving her family she loved her church. She was an active member and lector of Saint Marys Church.
Juanita and Dave had three daughters Stephanie Billings, Lennie (Denise) Ayala, Anna Earls. She had eleven grandchildren: Alicia Garcia, Nicholas, Jamie and Hannah Billings, Taylor Huezo, Elias and Elise Ayala, John Reed Johnson, Caitlin, Robi and Weston Becker. There are also fourteen great grandchildren, Darian Johnson, Mina, Delilah and Santiago Garcia, Ryan and Leila Shelton, Liam Kostuik, Shane and Brook Huezo, Brieseais and Isaias Ayala, Anthony Morales and Bronson Johnson, and Aiden Huezo.
She also had one great, great grandson, Robert Snowden.
Due to the COVID 19 restriction there will be no Church Service or Graveside Service. There will be a viewing at Emmerson Bartlett, Redlands from 10:00-12:00pm on May 13th. The number of people allowed in the viewing chapel is limited to 10 at a time. If restrictions are lifted additional people will be allowed.
Juanita will be missed. We all want to honor and thank her for all her love and sacrifices she made for her family, church and job. Thanks mom, you ran the great race, and you were a faithful servant to all
