Julia Jane Ray

On Friday June 2, 2023, Julia Jane (Greenwood) Ray passed away at her home in Crestline, CA. She was 77 years old.

Born on November 6, 1945, in Milwaukee, WI, Julia “Julie” was the daughter of Thomas David Greenwood and Jane Wilkinson Greenwood. She was also preceded in death by her ex-husband, Norman Ray, and nephew Scott T. Johnston.

Julie lived around the U.S. and the world as a proud “Air Force Brat” including graduating from Waipahu High School while living in Ewa Beach, HI. She settled in Redlands, CA, where she raised her 3 children Michelle, Kimberly, and Dawn. She later moved to her beloved mountain home, Crestline, CA. After retiring from work with Charter Communications, she applied her talents to crafting, painting, gardening, and camping. She loved gathering with her dear friends who knew her as a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan.

Julie is survived by her children Michelle “Mitchell” Mullen, Kimberly Nordstrand, and Dawn Scholl; siblings, John D. Greenwood, Kathleen Scott, Elizabeth Greenwood, and Carol A. Greenwood; 14 grandchildren and 7 nieces and nephews.

Julie will be remembered for her kindness and generosity, her playful humor and sparkling personality.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a time to be announced.
