Kathrine Avila

Katherine Avila was born in Redlands, CA on November 8, 1914. She passed away in Redlands on November 28, 2009 at the age of 95. Katherine was preceeded in death by her husbands Raymond Avila and James Dodson, and her daughter Lucille Carnero. She is survived by her sons Raymond and Ewdward Avila; daughters Gloria Bocanegra, Linda Sperling, Cecilia Ramos, and Kathy Richards. Other survivors include her sisters Carmen Flores and Crystal Garcia, 23 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 16 great great grandchildren. Katherine was a descendent of the pioneer Quintana family. She attended local schools including Redlands High School. Services for Katherine are as follows, Visitation will be Wednesday December 2, 2009 from 5-8pm at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel in Redlands, with Rosary beginning at 7:00. The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday Deccember 3, at 11:00am at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church on Olive St. in Redlands, Burial will follow immediately at Hillside Memorial Park in Redlands.
