Keith Hesterlee

Keith Orbie Hesterlee was born to Leonard R. and Margaret L. Hesterlee on May 25, 1936 in Nixa Missouri. When Keith was around 10 years old, he moved with his family to Ontario, California.
He attended South Euclid Elementary School, Vina Danks Jr. High School and Chaffey High School.

Keith started attending Allyn Avenue Baptist Church in Ontario while in junior high and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. As a teenager Keith caught the eye of two men who also attended his church. One of those men taught and guided him to become the Director of the Royal Ambassadors for about 4 years. The other gentlemen would teach Keith the glass business. Keith retired as a glazier after working 52 years in the Inland Empire.

Keith was also very interested in little league baseball. He became a coach and then the manager of the little league team Southland Market. Keith would than go on to become President of the National Little League in Ontario. During his time as president of the league he and many volunteers built the little league baseball field at John Galvan Park in Ontario, Boys and girls still play on that field today.

Right out of high school Keith married his high school sweetheart. They had 3 children, 1 daughter and 2 sons. In 1982 Keith married Beverly. She had 2 daughters which Keith raised and loved as his own.

During his lifetime Keith loved to go hunting, camping and fishing. He and the family share many fond memories of their camping and fishing trips. As well he loved playing men’s softball. After his retirement, Keith would become a cooking and baking enthusiast for his family and friends. He loved to share his talent with others. He also loved to travel to visit family.

Keith lived most of his life in the Inland Empire and in his later years retired to the community of Redlands with his wife Beverly.

Keith is survived by his loving wife Beverly, his daughter Diana Lyn Hesterlee of Apple Valley, his son Kevin (Heidi) Hesterlee of Hesperia, daughter Christy (Robert) Wise of Redlands, and daughter Lori (Aaron) Andersen of Yucaipa. Grandchildren Jason (Alyxce) of Utah, Douglass (Stephanie) of Texas, Kylie of Hesperia, Hollyann (Carolyn) of Apple Valley, Brandon of Hesperia, Dakota of Ohio, Conner of Montana and Addysen of Yucaipa. Seven great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson, his sister Freda Hayes of Texas and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Keith was preceded in death by his son Keith Orbie Hesterlee, his parents and in laws.

He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved his easy-going nature.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel in Redlands on November 30, 2021 at 1:00 PM.
