Ken Schmitz

Ken Schmitz, 53, of Redlands, passed away at home on August 16, 2014. Ken was born in Pana, Illinois on November 26, 1960. Ken is survived by his wife, Regina, and three children: Joshua, 27, Tiffany, 26 and Victoria, 22; his father and mother, Raymond and Dorothy Schmitz of Redlands, four sisters and three brothers: Trish, Diane, Janet, Jerry, Dave, Dale and Mary, along with a large extended family. Ken worked as letter carrier for the US Postal Service for 35 years and was a union representative for several years. Ken was also a proud member of Holy Name of Jesus and participated as a Eucharistic minister and Knights of Columbus. In the last year, Ken served on the board of the Dearborn Grove Homeowners Association where he resided. Memorial mass will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, September 1st at Holy Name of Jesus, Redlands (at Olive St). A Vigil service will be held at 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 31st at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 703 Brookside Ave.,Redlands, CA 92373 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ken s name to a nonprofit of your choice.
