Kevin Michael McKasy, age 70, of St. Paul, MN, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on February 27, 2024, in Redlands, CA.
Kevin was born on February 23, 1954, in Seattle, Washington. He owned and operated a painting business for over 30 years. He eventually became a full-time dad and grandpa (Papa) and loved spending time playing with his children, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In his free time, Kevin enjoyed horse races, playing golf, and watching shows like "Leave It to Beaver" and documentaries about ghosts and UFOs.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Patricia McKasy, his children: Michael Lentsch, Nathan Crandall, Erin Ross (Larry Boden), John (Kelley) McKasy, and Kevin (Viviana) McKasy Jr., and his siblings: Mary Pat McKasy (Tim Young), Patrick McKasy, Tim (Mary) McKasy, Maureen McKasy, Maggie McKasy and Theresa McKasy. He is also survived by his step mother/mother-in-law Mary Lou Landwehr and her children.
He was preceded in death by his father, John (Jack) Cameron McKasy, his mother, Mary Ann McKasy, and his brother, John Cameron McKasy Jr.
Kevin and his siblings grew up in St. Paul, MN. He had so many friends. He loved music and played guitar in a band while in high school. We enjoyed hearing stories about his “adventures” with his buddies, Jimmy, Greg and others. We take comfort knowing that he has reunited with many of his friends who have already passed, and know they are having a great time.
Kevin lived in California with his daughter Erin, her spouse Larry and grandchildren Cameron, Hannah, JJ, Samantha and Alex (Shaune) Jimenez for over 10 years. He loved to sit in the California sun, soak in the hot tub and shoot baskets with his grandkids in the pool. They loved playing video games, watching movies and eating treats. He enjoyed being their Papa.
Kevin was well known for his kindness, his playful personality, and his ability to make people smile and laugh. May he rest in peace and may his memory be a blessing to his family and friends.
