Kreig Arthur Duniven Bubba , age 58, passed away in Redlands on August 8, 2013. He was born September 15, 1954 in Blytheville, Arkansas. At age 8 he moved with his family to Redlands. He attended both McKinley and Kingsbury elementary, Cope Middle School and graduated from Redlands High in 1973. In high school he worked at Norton Air Force Base in the Officer s Quarters preparing their food. He also managed the snack bar at Loma Linda University. He went to Orange Coast College in Orange where he started working for Marie Callendar s Restaurant, helping to open 5 of their restaurants throughout Southern California. He worked in Joshua Tree for 1 years for the roadway and parkway; he participated in some of the construction of the Rose Bowl; was a chef at Loma Linda Hospital; owned and operated Dunivens Pit BBq for years in Redlands. He also worked for the Labor Union, Carpenter s Union, Bobby McGees, Pizza Chalet, Forest Falls Christian Conference Center, Prescott Pines Baptist Camp in AZ, Becky s Burgers and he privately catered to those by request. He also worked for Stater Bros. as a carpenter for 10 years. He is survived by his daughter, Hillary Mae Duniven (Fiancee Michael Biggerstaff); Mother, Fannie Lee Duniven; Sister Deborah Ruth Smith (Greg) Brother, Garry Thomas Duniven (Dianna) former wife, best friend and Hillary s mom, Allison June Spencer Duniven. He was preceded in death by his father Joe Louis Duniven. Memorial Service/ Pot Luck is scheduled for September 15, 2013, 2:00 P.M. at Sylvan Park in Redlands. The family invites friends, fellow co-workers....any and all who knew and loved Kreig, to come out to the park and help them celebrate his life.
