Lawrence G. Lusk, Jr.

January 15, 1932 — July 7, 2017

Lawrence G. Lusk, Jr. was 85 years old. Originally of Deer Park, TX, yet passed away in Loma Linda, CA on July 7, 2017 of Congestive Heart Failure. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on July 21, 2017 at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel in Yucaipa, CA.
Lawrence was born in Birmingham, AL on the 15th of January, 1932. He was a truck driver for approximately 20+ years for the Zellerbach Paper Company while living in Valinda, CA. Then upon moving and settling to Deer Park, TX, he was an alarm installer/specialist for A.D.T. Security Services in Houston, TX, until his retirement in 1982.
Lawrence was married to Thedythe LaVaughn (Miller) Lusk on the 19th of September, 1954. They were married for 54 years.
Lawrence was an avid woodworker, which also became a major hobby, before and during his retirement.
Lawrence is survived by his 2 daughters, Cheryl Gray (Yucaipa, CA); and Kathleen Hatler (Highlands, TX); his 2 brothers Donald Lusk (Ocean Park, WA); and Jerry Lusk (Livermore, CA), his sister-in-law’s Verna Lusk (Ocean Park, WA), Karen Lusk (Livermore, CA), Patricia Martin (Green Valley, IL), as well as his 6 grandchildren, Andrea Fox (Temecula, CA), Joshua Maize (Calimesa, CA), Rickey Smith (Ft. Worth, TX), Shelby Hatler (Sulphur, LA), April Murillo (Redlands, CA) and Ashley Gray (Yucaipa, CA) as well as his 7 great grandchildren, Brody 13, Alivia 10, Taylor 9, Micah 8, Makenna 7, Kennedy 5, and Taylin Grace Thibodeaux 1.5 months, as well as many friends, neighbors and church members in Deer Park, TX.
Lawrence is preceded in death by his father Lawrence G. Lusk, Sr. (1982) and his mother Anna Doris Lusk (1985) and his wife Thedythe LaVaughn Lusk (2008).
