Remembering Leslie
Leslie Lee Glover was born on November 14, 1931, in Greensboro, North Carolina, to his loving parents, Viola and Joe Glover. He grew up alongside his three cherished siblings, Joe Sam, Jerry, and Patricia. After proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force, Leslie met the love of his life, Ada Marie Kellum. Together, they built a life filled with love, devotion, and unwavering commitment, sharing more than six decades of beautiful memories.
On November 18, 1962, Leslie and Ada exchanged vows in a beautiful chapel on Crenshaw in Los Angeles, California. Their love grew into a family with the arrival of their first daughter, Regina, followed by their second daughter, Le Ada, completing the Glover family. Leslie’s legacy lives on through his daughters, five beloved grandchildren, and five cherished great-grandchildren—each of whom shared a warm, loving, and uniquely special bond with him.
Leslie proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years. After completing his service, he made his home in the Los Angeles area, where he built a life rooted in dedication and hard work. He spent 30 years serving the City of Los Angeles before retiring. Mornings for Leslie always began with a cup of black coffee and the LA Times, which he read from cover to cover. In his younger years, he found joy in playing tennis with friends, and his love for Los Angeles sports never wavered. He was a devoted fan of the LA Dodgers, the LA Rams, and the Lakers—cheering them on through every season with passion and pride. Leslie’s love for his family was deep and unwavering, a gift that will live on in our hearts forever.
