On November 29, surrounded by her family, Linda Diane Peters passed away after a four and a half year long battle with ovarian cancer. She will be remembered and greatly missed. Linda Peters was born Linda Diane Herrington on March 18, 1947 in Norman, Oklahoma. She grew up in various cities in Oklahoma, Arizona and California. In 1967, she married the love of her life, David Peters. They spent 46 years together. Linda is survived by her much-loved spouse, David Peters, son James (Dolores) Peters and daughter Kimberly (Tony) Lott and sister Sandra (Jose) Urioste. In addition to her beloved husband and children, Linda leaves behind her four adored grandchildren, Emily and Justin Lott and Hannah and Madison Peters. During her life, Linda found the desire to teach and, after her children were grown, she launched her teaching career. She taught fourth grade and first grade in San Bernardino City Unified School District for many years. She concluded her career at RISE in Redlands Unified School District and retired in 2010. She touched many students lives and made a difference. After retiring, David and Linda spent time traveling the world with stops in Panama, Costa Rica and the Virgin Islands. Linda loved each and every adventure. There will be a viewing from 10:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m., Thursday December 5, 2013 at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 703 Brookside Ave., Redlands, CA 92373. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Montecito Memorial Park. Her family will treasure their memories forever. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
