Lisa Marie Rebeschini (Greenough, Tuck) passed away on January 21st 2024 at home in Richmond Hill, Georgia.
Lisa was born on October 9th 1969 in Fontana, California and lived in West Covina until graduating from Covina High School in 1987. She went on to have many different positions in life from there. She worked at Baskins Robbins as an Assistant Manager, a Realtor, and in Health Administration. Lisa was always known as the go to girl that could get things done and if she didn’t know it, she would figure it out. She advanced from receptionist into medical billing, received an Associate Degree for medical billing and was an office manager. She was completing her bachelor’s degree and was in her final three classes when she passed and will be posthumously awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Administration. She carried a 4.0 grade point average and would graduate Summa Cum Laude.
Lisa’s greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother to her children, Megan Smith (Tuck) and Alec Tuck, and her grandson Shadarius Smith affectionately known as SJ. She cared very deeply for them and made sure that her passion for them showed. She wanted them to be safe and know that they were truly loved. They were always in her heart, thoughts, and prayers. Lisa made it a point to let them know how she always felt even if it created some dissension, but her love for her children never wavered. When they hugged you could see the deep love, admiration, and connections they had.
Lisa leaves behind her parents Aldina and Johnny Barquin and a sister Melissa Greenough of Redlands, California along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, stepbrothers, nieces, and nephews. She married and divorced Alan Tuck early in life after high school with whom she had Megan and Alec. She also left behind numerous lifelong friends that she shared special connections with throughout her life. She stayed single for over twenty years until she met her future husband, Lieutenant Colonel Gerald J Rebeschini, U. S. Army.
In 2016, Lisa and Gerald found each other. They met surprisingly on match.com and they wouldn’t have if Lisa on a whim hadn’t just renewed her subscription and Gerald hadn’t just enrolled. It was love at first touch for both, and as told by Lisa, a spark went through their hands when Gerald held her hand on the way into their first lunch together. From that moment on, Lisa and Gerald shared a true love and a passion for each other. They were married in a small ceremony in Las Vegas on March 30th 2018. Lisa left her life in California in August 2019 to go with Gerald to Hawaii where she spent the next four years and then Georgia until her passing. Lisa and Gerald could always be found at a nearby beach, amusement park, out enjoying the local area, or at home curled up on the couch together watching their favorite tv shows. Everyone who knew them saw the love they shared for each other.
Lisa loved spending time at the beach, going to amusement parks, the movies, and spending time with her grandson, SJ. She loved dolphins, sea turtles, and her favorite color was purple. She even learned to swim confidently by herself in Hawaii to swim with the sea turtles that were always present in the waters off the beach at the Fort DeRussey Beach in Waikiki. She would often walk to the beach by herself to enjoy the sun’s warmth, the water, and would swim out and with the turtles.
Lisa was always there for everyone she knew. She actively listened to them and commiserated with them. She helped them out in any way she could and sometimes even when she didn’t have the resources, she found a way to be there for them. She was taken too soon from us and we will all feel her absence. Please keep Lisa in your thoughts and prayers.
Please feel free to leave messages, pictures, videos, stories, or prayers of Lisa on her FaceBook page.
