Liviu Damian Iancu 

June 16, 1958 -- February 11, 2025

Liviu Damian Iancu passed away peacefully at his residence in Loma Linda, CA surrounded by his family on February 11, 2025. Born in Bratașani, Romania in June of 1958, Liviu was a warm, kind, generous and welcoming man, who thoroughly enjoyed his life and dedicated it to providing his wife and children the best opportunities imaginable. He immigrated to the United States in 1983, and met his future wife, Gabriela, a few years later. After marrying in 1990, they had two sons, Liviu Jr. and Daniel. 

Liviu worked as a general contractor from 1992 until September 28, 2024, when he was caught in a rockslide and sustained a severe traumatic brain injury. He was a mentor, a dependable friend, a loyal husband, and the best father anyone could have ever asked for. His dependability, attention to detail, thoroughness, and problem-solving abilities made him both successful in business and sought after for repair and maintenance projects across many hospitals and clinics in Southern California. He took pride in his work, would fish any chance he could, enjoyed vacationing with his family, and above all else, cherished playing and spending time with his grandson, Jacob. He will be sorely and deeply missed. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Marin Iancu, and brother, Florian Iancu, and is survived by his wife Gabriela, his sons Daniel and Liviu Jr, his grandson Jacob, his brother Otinel, his mother Valerina, his daughters-in-law Ashley Branson and Melissa Iancu, his nieces, in-laws and so many others he loved and cherished in his 66 years of life. 

A memorial service will be held in his honor on March 2 at 10 AM at the Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel in Redlands, CA. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation in his name to the charities he supported most in life--Shriners Children's Hospital and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
