Louisa L. McEwen (Barker) went home to be with her Lord on March 19th, 2013 at age 98. Louisa was born on September 28, 1914 in Redlands, where she grew up and graduated from Redlands High School in 1932. She married Irving "Mac" in 1933. Louisa retired from Southern California Gas Company after 32 years. She moved to Hesperia in 1978 where she was active in her church, in Christian Women's Club and participated in several Billy Graham Crusades. Louisa, "Mom and Grandma", was loved and will be deeply missed by her children, Lee (Shirley) McEwen and Janice (Frank) Crim-Parent; 6 grandchildren, Debbie (Ronnie) Jensen, Bob (Bernie) Crim, Ron (Shirley) Crim, Donna McEwen, Jerry (Karen) McEwen and Steve Crim; 14 great grandchildren, Tonya, Robert, Mandy, Aaron, Jason, Shawna, Michelle, Robert, Randy, Melanie, Matthew, Theresa, Jennifer, Jeremy; 19 great-great grandchildren, and one great-great-great grandchild, as well as many other family members and friends. Louisa is preceded in death by her loving parents, John and Purcelle Barker, siblings, Jim, Johnny, Barbara and Mildred. Graveside service officiated by Ron Crim (grandson), will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Hillside Memorial Park, 1540 Alessandro Rd., in Redlands at 11:00 a.m. Viewing is from 9:30-10:30 at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 703 Brookside Ave., Redlands.
