Louise Headlee

December 13, 1926 — December 2, 2010

Louise was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1926 and lived there with her parents and her brother Lee until 1931. Following the separation of her parents and the remarriage of her mother, the family moved to Shiocton Wisconsin. In 1943, she moved to Hampden Massachusetts where she married Roger Morin on June 21, 1947. The couple had four sons, Daniel, David, Peter and Jeffrey. In 1969 Louise married Joe W Headlee, whom she found to be her true soul mate. Joe died in 2002 and her son David died in 2007. Louise is survived by her 3 remaining sons, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Louise was always active in crafts of all sorts as well as being an active member in many guilds and clubs. She used much of her time to sew, knit, crochet, quilt, tat, embroider, decoupage, and design and make dolls and their clothing. After retiring from Pacific Telephone Company in 1982, Louise began a floral arrangement business while she waited for Joe to reach his retirement goal. Louise truly loved to travel so she and Joe spent 2 years on the road RV ing from coast to coast and beyond after their retirement. Louise and Joe were also professional archers and the couple volunteered to assist in the Archery competition during the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. Louise continued to knit and crochet for various charitable organizations even as her health waned. Louise s vitality and zest for life will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Memorial services will be at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel in Yucaipa California on Friday, December 10, 2010 from 11:00 am to 12 noon. Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel Yucaipa 35208 Yucaipa Blvd. Yucaipa, CA 92399 Main (909) 797-1101 There will be no viewing as Louise had requested that her remains be cremated prior to interment. The service will be performed by Pastor Sharon of the Yucaipa Methodist Church.
