Margaret Ann (Penny) Rechsteiner

The world lost our beloved mother, Margaret Ann (Penny) Rechsteiner, on April 21, 2021. Penny battled a short yet aggressive prognosis of pancreatic cancer, but it did not stop her from giving the most loving hugs or singing one of her favorite hymns. We miss her horribly, the sound of her voice, and her whimsical texts. Penny died surrounded by her children, Ingrid, Eric, and Elissa, and her granddaughters. Penny was born in Pomona, CA on October 14, 1945.
Our mom Penny was a rare and uniquely gifted and talented artist who saw the world in beautiful colors. She had a heart to help others, especially animals, and dedicated most of her life to animal rescue, specifically songbirds and small mammals. Penny is survived by her 3 children, Ingrid (Cory) Grundmeier, Eric (Catherine) Rechsteiner, and Elissa (Mark) Gruber, and her 3 granddaughters, Ashley (Dustin) Pugh, Chelsea (Zach) Dabney, and Breana Murray (Jon), 4 great grandchildren, Pennys sister Martha VerSteeg, and extended family.
