Margaret Eldridge Shotwell
Margaret passed away peacefully on Dec 11, 2016 at the home of her son, John Shotwell, in Yucaipa, CA. She was born in Mexico, ME on Feb 4, 1928. She moved to California with her family in 1940. She married Elbridge (Al) Shotwell in 1947. They lived in Whittier for 25 years before moving to Yucaipa where they lived for 30 years where she was a member of Yucaipa Christian Church. She moved to Meta, MO after her husband passed and lived there for the last 11 years. In Meta, MO she was an active member of the Meta Christian Church.
While living in Whittier she worked for the Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital as an EKG tech. While living in Yucaipa she graduated from Crafton Hills College then was employed there till she retired in 1990. She loved to go on cruises, knit, crochet, read mystery novels, and do jigsaw puzzles.
Margaret is preceded in death by her father, mother, and husband. She is survived by her brother Bill and Janet Eldridge, children John and Bertha Shotwell, Linda Dilbeck, Carol and Danny Thornhill, Alan Shotwell and fiancée Desiree Sullinger, and David and Tania Shotwell. Also, twelve grand children, many great-grand children and several great-great-grand children.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
