Maria Cruz Gandara

Maria C. Gandara passed away June 5th, 2015 in Yucaipa, California. She was born in Durango, Mexico on September 14, 1934. She was a 20 year resident of El Paso, Texas, then a 43 year resident of Bartsow, California. She was a 2 year resident of Arlington, Texas. She retired from Motel Six after 20 years as a cleaning maid. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Gandara, whom she was married to for 53 years at the time of his death in 2008. Marias was also preceded in death by her step-father, Manuel Garcia; mother, Marta Garcia; sisters, Theresa Lara, Feliciana Ferguson and Petra Rodriguez, and brother, Juan Garcia. She is survived by her 4 children: Lorenzo G. Gandara, Santa M. (Robert) Stocking, Jesus M. Gandara, and Elizabeth C. (Ruben) Martinez; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ramon, Ramoncito, Francisco and Hector Garcia; sister, Margarita Canas, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday, June 11th, 2015 located at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 703 Brookside Ave., Redlands, CA. Funeral Service will held on Wednesday, June 17th, 2015 at 12:00pm at Martin Funeral Home East, 1460 George Dieter, El Paso, Texas with an extended visitation time from 9:00am to 12:00pm at the funeral home and burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery East, El Paso, Texas 79938.
