The spunky and beautiful Maria de Los Angeles’s love of life did not end with her passing. She is survived by her most treasured assets: her children, Johanna, Jesus, and Ruben, and twelve grandchildren. Along with her siblings, Carmen, Luz, Samuel, and Loretto. They are committed to continuing her legacy by living life to its fullest. Maria was an accomplished cosmetologist.
Not only because she made everyone feel beautiful when they sat in her chair, but because you knew that sitting in that chair came with heartfelt conversations and often a large cup of coffee. While in her chair, you could sit and talk about anything and be met with her infectious laugh and her savvy advice. You could always find her on the dance floor, singing along with Jenny Rivera and bringing everyone to join her, whether it was a shy teenager or the family dog. She was the life of the party at every casino she went to. You could always count on her generosity when Lady Luck would strike to treat you to a drink or some lunch. That’s just who she was, someone who made everyone feel like the most important person when she was with them. Who always found it in her heart to give even when she didn’t have it for herself. However, there weren’t any pleasures she loved more than spending time with her kids and family: playing games with her grandkids, traveling with her sisters, and cooking special meals for her kids. There aren’t words to encompass the life of a woman who was such a force. She will always be remembered as a woman who, despite overcoming tremendous adversity and continuous heartbreak, always had an optimistic view of life. Her memory continues in all those who loved her.
