Marie Lydia Lara

Marie Lydia Lara passed away on August 7, 2016. A lifelong resident of Redlands, she was born on July 6, 1937. Marie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Arcadio Lara, her sisters Betty Saldana and Tessie Moreno, and her brothers Joe Gonzales, Tony Saldana, and Ernest Saldana. Marie and Arcadio raised four children, Anna Hogan (Dwane Burke), David (Linda) Lara, Joyce Rooney and Yvonne (John) Perez. She loved her nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, and everyone loved her. Marie, with her beautiful smile and infectious laugh, enjoyed being with her family, camping and traveling throughout the west and southwest. She spent years on summer retreats on their property in Utah. A viewing for Marie will be held at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel in Redlands on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, 4:00pm-8:00pm, with a rosary at 6:00pm. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, August 31, 11:00am at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 1205 Columbia Street, Redlands, California 92374.
