Mary "Margo" Margaret Chavez

Mary “Margo” Margaret Chavez born February 18, 1937 in Durango, Co. passed July 14, 2024 at her home in Redlands, Ca with her son Richard and daughter Michele by her side.

Margo resided most her life in Redlands .

She attended Redlands High School but graduated from Colton Union High. Margo had several jobs as a “youngster” as she referred to herself being young. She would ride her bike to clean houses and spoke very fondly about working at Taco Tia near Redlands High School. As an adult Margo worked for Aero Space and in 1976 when her two younger children stared school she went to work for Cal State University San Bernardino which she retired in December of 2009. While working there she made several friends and enjoyed her time spent on the campus.

Margo enjoyed many things in life such as camping, fishing, sewing but the one thing she looked forward to was the annual family trip to San Felipe with her sisters and extended family.

Margo also enjoyed making memories with her grandchildren. Margo leaves behind 8 grandchildren Alysia Chavez, Raymond Chavez, Andres Chavez, Steven Smith, Brett Burgess, Adrian Chavez, Armando Chavez and Nathan Chavez Great grandchildren include Daniel, Vivienne and Juliette. Preceded in death her husband Richard and son Jaime! Margo will be deeply missed by family and friends.
