Mary Monsie Gonzales

Mary (Monsie) Gonzales passed away September 4, 2015 at age 95. She was born on February 5, 1920 to Leonor Murrietta and Carlos Gonzalez in San Bernardino, California. She attended Redlands schools. Mary was the oldest of eight children. She married Jess A. Gonzales on June 20, 1937 in Arizona. Mary was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, cooking and tending to her flowering garden. She is preceded in death by her husband Jess, grandson Vince Paredes, sister Amy Gonzalez and brother Ynez Almarez. She is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Margaret (Betty) Herrera and Carlos, Rebecca (Pokie) Paredes and Fred, three grandchildren Linda Lara, Dean Paredes and Christopher Herrera, six great grandchildren Greg and Brett Lara, Sarah, Jennifer, Joshua and Gloria Herrera, one great great grandchild Adam Lara and 4 brothers David, Daniel, Raul and Ezekiel Almaraz. There will be a viewing for Mary at Emmerson Bartlett on Tuesday, September 15 from 10am to noon, followed by a graveside service at Hillside Memorial Park in Redlands.
