March 14, 1970 - August 14, 2022

The family of Matthew Jude Plasencia is grieved to announce the unexpected passing of Matthew on August 14, 2022. With his health declining for many years, Jesus came to take him home and made him whole again. His family believes Matthew is dancing again in Heaven.

Matthew is survived by his parents Richard and Susan Plasencia, sisters Theresa Schoeppach and Bernadette Plasencia, brother in law Chris Schoeppach, nieces Tatiana Hernandez, Briana Neal and Sarah Schoeppach, and nephew Jaydin Brown.
Matthew had a love for cats. So if you knew him, he had a Siamese cat named Silly. They say people don’t own cats. Cats choose and own you. And Silly owned Matthew. She would wait up for him at night, by the front door. When he arrived home, what ever time that was, he would tell her, let’s go, and off they went. Silly was more like a dog, then a cat. She would come running when she heard Matthew whistle.

Matthew was well liked and loved by everyone. If anyone needed help, he would offer that beautiful smile and off he went to help out. Even if that meant he might be late to where he was going. No questions asked, he was a great friend.
He also had a God given gift with his hands. He was quite the handyman with mechanical things. If the neighborhood kids needed their bikes fixed, they came to see him. He was only too happy to help fix what was broken. He had a giving heart.
Dirt bikes was a hobby he loved, since he was 5 years old. At that time, our dad, Richard bought him a Honda MR 50. Together they would go out and play in the dirt. As he got older, he bought other dirt bikes. But one bike, a Honda CR500 was his favorite. That bike was a beast, and Matthew tamed that bike. That sport brought out lots of adventures for him.

To sum up Matthew, this would take days, but it has been said, Matthew will be missed, and our hearts are broken, and Matthew touched many lives. Please attend the service on Friday Sept 23rd and share with our family your memories of Matthew.
