Melvin D. Mcwilliams

July 31, 1925 — October 26, 2010

Melvin D. McWilliams, born July 31, 1925 in Calumet, MN, passed away October 26, 2010. He attended Greenway High School and L.A. City College. During WWII, Melvin served in the Army in the Pacific. He worked for the Los Angeles Herald Examiner and later in Las Vegas. Melvin ("Mac") McWilliams was a Mason. His hobbies included genealogical research, coin and stamp collecting, and model trains. However, his primary passion was flying. He was a docent at the Palm Springs Air Museum and volunteered at the Desert Aids Project. A loving son, brother, uncle and friend, Melvin is survived by his beloved sister, Alice and brother Harold, and 10 nieces and nephews. Melvin was laid to rest with Military honors at Riverside National Cemetery on November 9, 2010. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable donations be made to Y.A.P.S. in Yucaipa, CA. Family under the care of Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, Yucaipa, CA.
