META CHRISTINE BRUMETT Our dear Nan, Meta Christine Brumett, passed away on July 5, 2013 in Redlands, CA at age 97. Born to Jacob and Mary (Fisher) Shelton in Cape Girardeau, MO April 23, 1916. She moved with her husband and 4 boys to Redlands in 1946. She also resided in Spring Valley Lake and Yucaipa. She loved being with her family and friends. Her passion was sewing, especially quilting. She had been a member of St. Hillary s Episcopal Church in Hesperia. Preceding her in death was her husband, Earl A. and her son Michael D. Surviving her are sons Earl Brumett (Marilyn) of Texas, Jerry Brumett (Frankie) of Apple Valley, Jimmie Brumett (Linda) of Yucaipa, Michael s widow Evegrace of Sausalito, 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren. Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel of Redlands is in charge of funeral arrangements with a private service at Hillside Memorial Park.
