It is with great sadness that the family of Michael (Mike) “Hollywood” R. Pennington, 51, announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 in Susanville, California.
A passionate motorcycle enthusiast, “Hollywood”, as he was fondly called, loved to ride with his Red and Black family-DFFD. Mike was generous with his time and resources whenever a friend or family member was in need. He was a devoted son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to the very end. Mike was a great story-teller with a wide variety of adventurous journeys and entertaining tales to share. He would always say he never meet a stranger he didn’t know, his personality was contagious to everyone he met.
Michael was born on January 24, 1970 in Lakewood, California to David L. Pennington and Suzanne R. (Richter). He was a long time resident of Bellflower and Huntington Beach, California and most recently a temporary resident of Spaulding Tract, Susanville, California.
Mike operated the family owned business Premium Plastics Machine, Inc. in Paramount, California for the past 15 years following in his father’s footsteps who started the company over 45 years ago. Mike was an avid fisherman, wildlife hunter and survivalist and enjoyed sharing his knowledge and skills with his children, his club brothers and many friends.
Michael is survived by the loves of his life including wife, Amanda E. Dyess, his sons, Avery, Liam, Brody and his daughters, Presley and Chloe, sister Sherry Renzacci, brother in-law Paul Renzacci, sister Donna Bothof, brother in-law Steve, and he was “Uncle Mike” to his many nieces and nephews.
