Michael Watson

Michael Watson, age 68, passed away on  Wednesday, November 30th, 2016 surrounded by his loved ones.    His sudden and serious illness was due to complications of cancer.  He was born in Richmond, CA on January 25th, 1948 to Theodore and Opal “Juanita” Watson.  He graduated from Palo Verde High School in 1966 in Blythe, CA. Michael worked for Southern California Edison for over 30 years as well as Henkels and McCoy. He officially retired in 2006.  Mike loved playing golf and was a member of Redlands Country Club for almost 30 years.  He brought sincere warmth and laughter to everyone he met. His generosity was apparent to all those who knew him.  He is survived by his loving wife Corliss, his parents Richard and Opal “Juanita” Kaufmann of Marlow, OK, a brother Chris (Marie), a son Chad,  daughter Michelle (Daryll) Johnson and grandchildren Amanda and Cory as well as Corliss’ daughter Shelly (Shad) Merrick and her grandchildren Alison, Courtney, and Natalie. A celebration of life will be held on January 15th, 2017 at 11:00am at Redlands Country Club in Redlands, California.
