Redlands — Nathaniel Soto, age 96, Passed away January 8, 2015. Nathaniel is survived by a wife, Martha, four children: Martha Means, Orpha Bracy, Yolanda Smith, and Nathan Soto. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, with one grandchild [proceeding him in death] and eleven great-grandchildren.
Nathaniel is a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps and the United States Air Force where he earned several medals. He grew up in Barstow California and later moved, with his parents and siblings, to Redlands California. Nathaniel was the fourth child of thirteen. As a young man, Nathaniel went to work for the California Conservation Corps and later enlisted in the Army Air Corps. Nathaniel served his country for 20 years and was Honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1963. After his retirement, from the Military, he went to work for the County of San Bernardino and retired after 20 years.
Nathaniel was an avid handball player he enjoyed family reunions and singing with his brothers and sisters along with traveling .He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
