Nieves Garza Gil

Nieves Garza Gil arrived to Redlands with her husband and young family in 1960. For the next 50 years she raised her children and countless other children in her family home. On June 20th, 2011 Nieves Gil succumbed to her long term illness at home surrounded by family. She is survived by her five children and their families; Benny & Danny Robles, Lizandro Gil, Teodora Loli & Issac Roque, Gilberto Gil, Aurora Dori & Dennis Lettig. She is also survived by nine grand children and six great-grand children. Visitation for the public that wishes to accompany the family will be June 23rd, at 5:00pm at the Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, with a Rosary to follow at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be June 24, at 10:30am at the Holy Name of Jesus (Olive Street) with the interment at the Hill Side Memorial Park. Memorial donations in the name of Nieves G. Gil can be made to the Northside Impact Committee.
