Olevia Ila Ruth Cushing

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Ruth Cushing, loved living in the mountains surrounded by the forest and flowers where she remained until her passing at the age of 93 on September 11, 2016. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Forest Falls, CA. Her resilience and love for life contributed to her longevity. Ruth was born in Cooper, Texas May 2, 1923. Her parents were Joseph E. and Willie R. Young. She is survived by her five children, Maggie, Paula, Terrie, Lana and Randy, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends that loved her dearly.  

Services will be held at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel at 11am, on Friday, September 16, 2016 located at 35208 Yucaipa Blvd., Yucaipa, CA 92399. A reception will be held immediately following the service at Carriage Trade Manner located at 12874 California Street, Yucaipa, CA 92339.

She will be laid to rest next to our father, Robert L. May in Westminster, California.
