Olivia Susanna Jimenez-Murguia

Olivia S. Jimenez-Murguia passed away on October 12, 2015. Olivia was born to Francisco and Concepcion Jimenez of Redlands on 20 September 1942. She was a lifelong resident of Redlands. Olivia graduated from Redlands High School, and she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from California State University San Bernardino. Olivia had a lifelong devotion to children. She served as a Site Director with Head Start State Preschool and Director of the Redlands Community Hospital Child Care Center. She touched the lives of many children in her lifetime. Olivia was exceptionally gifted in cooking, baking, sewing, quilting, gardening and all creative endeavors. She was an avid reader who loved to sing, play scrabble and music. Olivia was loving, kind, generous and possessed a witty sense of humor. First and foremost, she was an extraordinary Mother and Grandmother deeply devoted to her family. She is survived by 3 of her 12 siblings: her brother Paul Jimenez, sisters Eva Lemos and Adrienne Morales; 4 children: Alex, Deborah, Jennifer, Salvador and 9 grandchildren. Memorial Services: Monday, October 19, 2015- Rosary 7 p.m., Emmerson Bartlett; Tuesday, October 20, 2015- Mass 11 a.m., Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
