Patricia Mae Laur

PATRICIA MAE LAUR - Resident of Yucaipa, CA, passed away following a heart attack at Loma Linda University Hospital on the morning of April 29, 2018, at the age of 85.  Patricia was born on February 2, 1933, in Buffalo, NY, and was the first of seven children of James and Mildred Luman.  As a young adult, Patricia was an operator with the Bell Telephone Company in Buffalo, NY, and Flint, MI, and later as a Child Support Officer with the District Attorney’s Office in San Bernardino County, CA. Patricia was always involved in her community and through the years she had been a member of her local garden club, on a number of bowling teams, a leader of a Camp Fire Girls troop, a member of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Mission Team to Guatemala, and active with the Senior Centers in Highland, Calimesa and Yucaipa, CA.  Patricia’s husband of 55 years, Robert, and her oldest son, Michael, predeceased her.  Patricia is survived by her brother, Eric Luman, her other children, Diana (Nick DeVince) and James (Peter Kongkasem); her grandchildren, Christopher A. DeVince (Cidney Williams) and Misty Dawn Laur; and a great-grandchild, Caiden Michael Laur.  Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 703 Brookside Ave., Redlands, CA. Patricia will be interred with her husband, Robert, at the Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia’s memory to the Highland Senior Center, 3102 E. Highland Ave., Highland, CA 92346.
