Patricia (Patty) Lynn Shea, age 67, went home to be with the Lord on November 29th, 2021, due to unexpected health conditions.
Patty was born on January 11, 1954 in Osceola, Iowa, to parents Clair Dean McGee and Gertrude Lucille Reish. They lived a life surrounded by farms and animals. Her love for Iowa never left her heart and she enjoyed going back to visit as often as possible. In 1975 she moved to California, where she graduated from Loma Linda University as an LVN. She married James Shea in Redlands, California, 1977. They would live in several of the surrounding cities, including Big Bear, CA. In 1997, she finished top-in-her-class at S.B. Valley College and earned her RN license. She accepted a position with Loma Linda Medical Center as a Dialysis Nurse. Patty was considered one of the best in her field - even being asked to assist the transplant team during surgery. Her entire 40 year career was spent caring for the sick and dying.
Patty was a social, active woman who loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and so much more. She is loved and remembered by all who knew her. Her favorite activities were church gatherings, DIY projects, camping, cuddling with her dachshund and spending time helping friends and family.
Patty is survived by her husband of forty-four years, James. Her sons, Daniel and Cory, and their wives, Megan and Mariah. Patty is also survived by her sister, JoAnn Washburn, and brother, Dean McGee. Four grandchildren - Evan, Landon, Riley and Sadie, and her dog, Sandy.
Her love knew no limit; she accepted every person for who they were - without judgment. If only we all could be more like Patty…
