Paul Warford was born May 13, 1938 in Ontario, California. He died at 78 years of age after a 6-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He lived nearly his whole life in California: Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Yucaipa and Calimesa. He attended Chaffey High School and then joined the navy as a submariner. He received his Master’s degree from San Bernardino State College. He was a high school teacher and counselor at Fontana High School. Ed was a professional banjo and guitar player for many years and was the last banjo player to play in Shakey’s Pizza Parlour chain. He was a member of the Set Free Church in Calimesa. He was preceded in death by his first love Barbara Ann Warford and his one daughter, Tamara Leimann, but is survived by 2 sons, Shane Warford of Calimesa and Vince Warford of Ontario, 10 Grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Service will be held Wed. Nov. 9, 9:30 AM at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 703 Brookside Ave., Redlands and interment will be at the Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Calimesa.
