Paulette Mccollum

Paulette (Paula) McCollum was born on December 22, 1919 in Loraine, Texas. She was married to Edgar Newman McCollum on October 25, 1940. He preceded her in death in 1992. She is survived by 2 daughters: Eddy Eilene Hughes of Holly Hill, Florida and Donna Hicks and husband Bud of Santa Ana, California. She has six grandchildren: Kevin, Kerri, Debbie, Garrett, Bethany & Patrick. There are 10 great grand-children. She also has 4 siblings, and many nieces and nephews. During her working years, she worked at the first grocery store in town that had meat wrappers. She continued with this occupation until she retired in the mid 70 s. In retirement they moved to Big River, California where they lived 18 years. In 1993 she moved to Yucaipa where they had previously lived part time, had family and were members of the Church of Christ. Her sister in law, Marie, still lives in Yucaipa. During these years she enjoyed her bridge groups and Bunco friends. She also enjoyed working in her flower garden and going to the gym. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2011, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 35208 Yucaipa Blvd., Yucaipa, CA. Memorial Service Friday, October 21, 2011, 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Sun Park II Clubhouse, Yucaipa, CA. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at The Parker Cemetery Parker, AZ at 12:00 p.m.
