Ralph Anthony Flores Sr.,
On Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020, Ralph Anthony Flores Sr., loving husband, father of 5 children, grandfather of 30 grandchild, and great grandfather of 20 great grandchildren. Passed away at the age of 72.
Ralph was born on November 27, 1947 in San Bernardino, CA to Mother Frances Floriano and Father Rudy Flores. Ralph grows up in a big family with 10 brothers and 4 sisters. Growing up in east highlands Ralph had to drop out of school at the age of 9, to help with the family bills. Starting his first job at the packing house in East Highlands. Out in the fields picking strawberries and grapes. On his spare time, he will go down to the gym with his brothers to box. Something he love doing. At the age of 15 was one of this best year of his life. Where he meets the love of his life, not knowing she will be the one.
Meeting Rosie Ruiz at Monalisa change his life. Three years went by Ralph got married to his beautiful wife Rosie on Nov 10, 1967. On His first thanksgiving together he was blessed, with a little girl Rosie. Starting a new job at the Mt Vernon drive-in, working side by side with his wife and Still working in the orange groves.
In the 1970s his family started to grow, in July with his daughter Roberta was born. Then two years later on Cinco de mayo in 1972 his daughter Raquel was born. At this point Ralph knew he need a house not just any house but a home. Something for his family could grow. Buying their home In Redlands. He knew this is where he wanted to live, the rest of his life.
In 1976 Ralph start at the citrus high packing house as a forklift driver and mechanic. On his days off he loves to spend time with family and friends being outdoors, fishing, camping and cooking for other. He also was in a club call the Paisanos wearing a black leather jackets with a road running on the back. It was a brother bond that no one can break. Ralph was still boxing at the time.
Ralphs life was growing with another daughter on the way. he made a big decision to start his own business as a landscaper. Ralph had that green numb that no one had. Lawn that he works on were enter into competitions. With no doubt they took first place. In 1979 his daughter Rebecca was born.
As a family man he always provided everything these girls needed. Always taking family trip, Enjoying the theme park and eating his funnel cake. On Feb 10, 1982 Ralph had the biggest scary of his life. All most losing his wife during labor. Knowing that only one was going to make it. The lord was on his side. The Dr. Came out to give the best news ever. His wife was fine and Its a boy Ralph Anthony Flores jr.
Years went by Ralph became a grandpa in 1986 and the family keep on growing. In 1990 Ralph give his self to the lord, got baptized with his wife at the Redlands Apostolic church. Ralph will always pray for other and his family. He always believed God blessed him and gave him healing hand.
My Grandpa was one of the most amazing men that ever lived. I can keep going with his life but I might be at this all night. What I can say is he is Great husband, Good brother, Awesome Father, best grandpa, amazing great grandfather....that anyone could ever ask for. His memory will be cherished and kept alive and his legend will live on. Love you Grandpa!
